How to: Blessing on a Drink

What’s a bracha? Bracha is Hebrew for Blessing. On the most basic level, a bracha is the way we express recognition of the good God has given us Before a Jew partakes of various worldly pleasures & benefits - We are required to make a blessing. Say your first bracha today and strengthen your Jewish identity and your relationship with God. You take a drink in your right hand and say the following: Baruch Ata Ado-nai Elo-heinu Melech HaOlam SheHakol Nehiyah Bedvaro The shehakol (שֶׁהַכֹּל) bracha is said on All drinks (except for wine), Water if your thirsty, and all animal products: meat, chicken, fish, and eggs The translation of that is: Blessed are You, L-rd our G‑d, King of the universe, by Whose word all things came to be. Then you drink immediately with no interruption.
