How to: Blessing on a Drink
What’s a bracha? Bracha is Hebrew for Blessing.
On the most basic level, a bracha is the way we express recognition of the good God has given us Before a Jew partakes of various worldly pleasures & benefits - We are required to make a blessing.
Say your first bracha today and strengthen your Jewish identity and your relationship with God.
You take a drink in your right hand and say the following:
Baruch Ata Ado-nai Elo-heinu Melech HaOlam SheHakol Nehiyah Bedvaro
The shehakol (שֶׁהַכֹּל) bracha is said on All drinks (except for wine), Water if your thirsty, and all animal products: meat, chicken, fish, and eggs
The translation of that is:
Blessed are You, L-rd our G‑d, King of the universe, by Whose word all things came to be.
Then you drink immediately with no interruption. LeChaim.
